The host of the weekday “Classical Happy Hour”, Jon Town can't quite believe it, but he's been in radio and loving it for 48 years! Before going on air in Phoenix in 1982, he was heard in other Southwest cities including Tulsa, Denver, Dallas and San Antonio.
Jon, pictured admiring a photo of his dear daughter when she was born, lives in historic Central Phoenix with his wife Lynn. They are joined there by Teddy, a rescue Aussie Shepard, and 3 other feline companions; Cosmo, a big ginger kitty, Scotch, small ginger and white, and Molly a gorgeous Calico. Scotch and Molly are former feral cats who lived under the house and have now transitioned into spoiled house cats.
Jon is a long-time supporter of the arts community. He and his wife are members of the Phoenix Art Museum and regularly attend performances by Arizona Theatre Company and Phoenix Theater. Both Jon and Lynn are avid readers with at least two selections going at any given time. Their other interests include welding, cooking, music, and gardening. Both Jon & Lynn are Certified Master Gardeners and Lynn is co-owner of Southwest Gardener in central Phoenix. Jon adds that he's a fan of all things auto (as in car) and is a big follower of Formula 1 racing.
