Violinist, Rachel Barton Pine released her new album Dependent Arising on Cedille Records this August 11th and is joined by the composer to talk about it. On this album she combines her love of classical and heavy metal pairing Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto No. 1 in A minor, Op. 77 with New York Composer Earl Maneein’s “Dependent Arising” a Concerto for Violin and Orchestra. She is joined by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra led by Tito Muñoz.
